Michael Douglas said his wife, Catherine Zeta-Jones, is coping just fine with her recently diagnosed bipolar disorder. The 41-year-old actress checked into a mental health facility last month and was diagnosed with bipolar type II disorder, characterized by more frequent depressive episodes than manic ones.
Douglas, 66, told Us Weekly Monday night at an event honoring James Earl Jones: "[Catherine’s] doing great! She's filming in Louisiana right now so she couldn't make it."

During an interview with Oprah Winfrey, the "Wall Street" actor said his battle with stage 4 throat cancer was "very hard" on his wife. Adding to Zeta-Jones' woes, "My son is in federal prison, my ex-wife is suing me… it's kind of hard for the wife to say that she's depressed."
