The beloved candymaker has a new product up its sleeve: Reese's Peanut Butter Cups stuffed with Reese's Pieces.
That's right, the news was first leaked via a now-viral Facebook post, leading Reese's reps to respond in kind — with the hashtag #cupfusion.
"Would Reese’s make consumer dreams come true and bring together two beloved favorites — Cups and Pieces — into one mind-blowing delicious cup of goodness?" said a mysterious email from a Hershey's spokesperson.
The candy specialist ramped up its cryptic teases with a series of playful graphics and videos in recent days — think Reese's Peanut Butter Cup pinatas spilling out Pieces candies or a mama Peanut Butter Cup cooing at her Reese's Pieces babies, "You're so cute, I could eat you up."
It all culminated in a big reveal on — of course — social media, complete with a release date. Mark your calendars for mid-July!
