Tom Cruise's latest battle with press is far from over. Back in October of 2012, he filed a $50 million lawsuit against Life & Style and In Touch magazines, alleging the publications defamed him by claiming he'd abandoned daughter Suri following his split from ex-wife Katie Holmes.
Now, court documents obtained by E! News reveal the mad dad isn't backing down.
"What I find most disturbing is that I have to sit here and look at this photograph of my daughter with ‘Abandoned by Daddy' (across it) — to me, that is what sticks out the most," Cruise said in a Sept. 9 deposition.
In addition to the "Abandoned by Daddy" line, one of the magazines also reported that he chose "Scientology over Suri for good," a statement he vehemently disagreed with in the deposition.
"I mean come on, that is absolutely disgusting," Cruise said. "That is absolutely disgusting. And I have to tell you, with everything ... listen, I am a public person, I absolutely understand. For me there is ... I tolerate a tremendous amount and I am very privileged to be able to have the life that I have and I believe that."
But Cruise stressed that he has "in no way" cut his 7-year-old daughter out of his life.
