“Harry Potter” star Daniel Radcliffe appears to be a little confused about Justin Bieber.

“I only heard Justin Bieber for the first time two weeks ago,” Radcliffe recently told MTV News when asked about the Canadian pop star. “I genuinely thought it was a woman singing. I’d never heard it before. Is it big in England yet?”

The 20-year-old actor explained that he is “so out of the loop when it comes to pop culture that I kind of don’t even try anymore.”

He does appear to be a fan of a different pop star though.

“I think (Lady Gaga is) kind of amazing,” he told MTV News. “She’s really got a voice, my God. Not my kind of music, particularly, but she can really sing.”

In more Radcliffe news, the actor has reportedly found his next big screen project. According to Variety, Daniel will star in an updated version of “All Quiet on the Western Front,” which first hit theaters in 1930 and took home the Oscar for best picture.

The young actor is slated to start shooting the movie in spring 2012 after he finishes his run on Broadway in “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.”

First up though, Radcliffe will be seen in “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I,” which opens in theaters on Nov. 19.
