The rare white claw bear has apparently been playing with wooden sticks since his cub days. Visitors to the zoo watch him slide it side to side, around his neck and pass it from hand to hand with a twist in front.

Parmir was born in 2005 and moved to the Royev Ruchei Zoo a year later. The white claw bear is a subspecies of the Asian brown bear which are small and yellowish and natives of forests in the Central Asian Himalayan and Tian Shan mountain ranges. Unlike their brown Russian cousins, white claw bears do not hibernate.

The zoo website says Pamir also likes to play with "cans, boards, baseball bats and with a jet of cold water from a hose."
