Just days after Ariel Castro was sentenced to life in prison, his son will speak out exclusively on TODAY Monday.

Anthony Castro, of Columbus, Ohio, will sit down with TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie to talk about the dad he knew growing up, and will share what he saw when visiting the house where three women were kept captive for nearly a decade.

Anthony Castro has always maintained that he had no idea of the atrocities taking place in his father's home.

Ariel Castro was charged with 977 counts, including kidnapping, rape and attempted murder. The third charge was included after one of the women said Castro impregnated her and then forced her to miscarry by punching her in the stomach.

Under the deal he accepted, Castro agreed to plead guilty to 937 counts. He also agreed to a life sentence, plus 1,000 years in prison.

“He’s never coming out except nailed in a box or in an ashcan,” Cuyahoga County prosecutor Timothy J. McGinty said Friday.
