Rebekah Gregory, who lost a leg in the Boston Marathon bombing, made an emotional return to the course this year, crossing the finish line after running the final three-plus miles of the race.

Gregory was with her then-boyfriend and young son when the bombs went off at the 2013 race. After testifying in Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's trial, the 27-year-old vowed she'd run the marathon.

Before the race, Gregory posted a photo of herself — with her race number — on Facebook. "This is the day...I take my life back," she wrote.
