Listing photos for the palatial estate owned by New England Patriots’ star Tom Brady and his supermodel wife, Gisele Bundchen, show the home styled for sale barely two years after the golden celebrity couple had it custom-built on an empty lot overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
Several weeks after the home first appeared on the market, with its listing photos protected by a password, rumors were swirling that the giant estate had sold for $40 million to rapper and producer Dr. Dre. Listing agent Stephen Shapiro of the Westside Estate Agency wouldn’t comment on that, except to say the home has not sold.
The 18,298-square-foot, five-bedroom, nine-bath estate at 12780 Chalon Road in Brentwood was styled after a French chateau and built from imported limestone. The home is brand new, with state-of-the-art amenities, but its Old World feel is underscored with reclaimed ceiling beams, antiqued floorboards and antique doors.
The gated driveway is built from reclaimed cobblestones, and an infinity pool snakes around the back of the house, along with lawns, gardens and winding pathways.
