The season premiere of “Two and a Half Men” promises big drama for a comedy — what with spoilers teasing a grisly death, a funeral and a long line of mourners — but don’t expect that on-screen drama to spill over into real life.
Despite recent rumors that the show’s Charlie Sheen-free debut might just feature Sheen’s ex-wife, Denise Richards, TMZ reports that Richards has turned down the “Men” offer.
“She would never hear the end of it from Charlie,” a source said.
According to the Huffington Post, that hasn’t stopped “Men” bigwigs from holding out hope that Richards will have a change of heart.
“Initially, Denise said 'no' out of respect for Charlie, but everyone is hoping she changes her mind,” a production insider explained. “She did two episodes a while back but nothing would be bigger than turning up on Ashton (Kutcher’s) debut episode.”
Except for the potential fallout with her ex-husband — that might just be bigger.
