The 2023 Oscars have come and gone — and made history.
“Everything Everywhere All At Once” took home the award, along with six other Oscars, in a tight race against powerhouse films including “The Fabelmans” and “The Banshees of Inisherin.” The film’s star, Michelle Yeoh, who played Evelyn Quan Wang, a Chinese-American immigrant who learns she has the ability to connect with parallel universes, became the first Asian woman to win best actress in a monumental moment.
The race for the 2024 best picture is just as competitive. Nominees include 10 acclaimed films: "American Fiction," "Anatomy of a Fall," "Barbie," "The Holdovers," "Killers of the Flower Moon," "Maestro," "Oppenheimer," "Past Lives," "Poor Things" and "The Zone of Interest."
The best picture Oscar has marked the epitome of the award-show season for 95 years — where only one film comes out on top. Read on to see all the films that have won best picture thus far.
