Charges dropped against 3 New Mexico compound suspects after prosecutor’s lapse
Charges against three of the five defendants in the child abuse case involving a New Mexico compound have been dropped because prosecutors failed to hold a preliminary hearing within the required 10 days. Two of the defendants remain in custody. Meanwhile, authorities have revealed some of the evidence found at the compound: a journal allegedly written by one of the suspects that describes “phases of a terrorist attack.” NBC’s Gadi Schwartz reports for TODAY.
