Gun used in San Francisco shooting linked to federal agent
Law enforcement sources confirmed to NBC News that the gun that killed Kate Steinle as she walked along San Francisco’s waterfront belonged to a federal agent. Francisco Sanchez, who remains behind bars on $5 million bail, told a local TV station that he found the gun wrapped in a shirt on a bench and it went off. The case is now at the center of a political firestorm over illegal immigration. NBC’s Hallie Jackson reports.
