Tyrone John, a high school math teacher, became the first patient to be intubated with severe COVID-19 at the Long Island Jewish Forest Hills hospital in Queens, and remained in a coma for nearly three weeks. Now, for the first time in a year, he is returning to the hospital to reunite with the medical team that fought for his life. Savannah Guthrie reports for TODAY’s Heroes Among Us series.
