Thai soccer players rescued from cave take part in Buddhist training
Eleven of the 12 Thai youth soccer players who were rescued from a cave complex this month are undergoing training to become Buddhist novices, while their coach will be ordained as a monk. They’ll spend nine days living in a monastery, a form of spiritual cleansing, as a way of giving thanks to those who made their safe return possible. NBC’s Lucy Kafanov reports for TODAY.
