Otto Warmbier’s father speaks out: ‘He was so brutally treated’
The father of Otto Warmbier, the Ohio student who was imprisoned in North Korea for 17 months for allegedly stealing a propaganda poster, spoke out about his son’s condition at a press conference. Fred Warmbier says his son was “brutally treated for so long” and that he was “so glad he was home.” Otto’s doctors revealed he has “spontaneous eye opening and blinking” and that his condition is “unresponsive wakefulness.” NBC’s Ron Mott reports for TODAY.
