NJ train crash: Engineer says he has no memory of fatal accident
Investigators have interviewed the engineer who was at the controls when the train crashed into Hoboken Terminal last week, killing one person and injuring more than 100 others. Thomas Gallagher says he has no memory of the accident. But there’s a problem when it comes to the train’s black boxes. Transportation officials say one of the data recorders was not functioning and they could not get any usable information from it. The other data recorder is in an area of the train that is deemed too dangerous to enter. NBC’s Tom Costello reports for TODAY.
