Makeup hack: Fix broken eye shadow and make it like new

They say, "don't cry over spilled milk," but it should also be noted that there's no need to cry over broken, cracked or nearly finished eye shadow.

This four-step solution will revive your favorite shade and keep it fresh for many uses to come. See, there's no need to buy brand-new makeup to achieve that smokey eye!

As strange as it sounds, the first step to fixing the problem is crush it up even further. Use the back end of your makeup brush and break up the shadow into even smaller pieces.

Using a medical dropper or spoon, add two or three drops of rubbing alcohol into the case.

Mix the alcohol and eye shadow pieces together until you create a creamy texture. Once it's combined well, flatten the top for a good-as-new appearance.

Allow the newly reshaped eye shadow to sit uncovered overnight or for about eight to 10 hours. This will allow the alcohol to evaporate.

Wake up the next morning and use your eye shadow, which will feel like it's fresh out of the package!
