Families honor fallen veterans with virtual wreath ceremony
In a normal year, around 40,000 family members and volunteers visit and lay wreaths on each grave site at Arlington National Cemetery. Only 6,500 could visit in person this year but many were able to watch online. Linda Williams, a mother of a fallen soldier, said the virtual wreath ceremony made it easier for her to cope, knowing her son, Wesley Ross Williams, wouldn’t be alone this year due to COVID-19 restrictions.
