Head of Florida teachers union: ‘We don’t want to be the petri dish for America’
Commenting on a lawsuit by Florida’s largest teachers union over the state’s school reopening order, Fedrick Ingram, president of the Florida Education Association, the state’s biggest teachers union, tells TODAY: “It is nonsensical to think that we are ready to open brick and mortar and begin teaching in just two weeks,” adding, “2.8 million children are depending on us to get this right.”
