Houston police chief: ‘We need national standards’ about body-cam video
Art Acevedo, chief of police in Houston, has been outspoken about the death of George Floyd and the protests that have followed. He tells TODAY he promised Floyd’s family a police escort for Floyd’s funeral so “they can put their loved one to rest in a dignified manner.” In response to controversy over recent police shootings, he calls for “a national conversation” about the release of body-cam video: “We need some national standards.”
