California Gov. Gavin Newsom: Recovery will happen if we focus on public health
Speaking exclusively with TODAY’s Savannah Guthrie, California Gov. Gavin Newsom says that most of the state’s 40 million residents are “doing the right thing” when it comes to social distancing and promises schools and summer camps will reopen “with deep modifications and limits, absolutely.” He says the state’s economy will recover “if public health is our primary focus.” Addressing allegations from President Trump that mail-in ballots will lead to fraudulent elections, he says that “study after study” finds “no evidence of widespread voter fraud.”
