Mystery children’s illness tied to coronavirus is ‘very concerning,’ says former FDA head
According to undisclosed data the White House's pandemic task force is using, coronavirus infection rates are spiking to new highs across the country. Dr. Scott Gottlieb, former commissioner of the FDA, tells TODAY “we’re seeing some hot spots in states that were not as affected as the New York region.” He calls cases of pediatric multi-symptom inflammatory syndrome “very concerning … we don’t know how many kids are getting coronavirus.”
