Record-breaking heat in West causes 4 deaths, fuels new wildfires
Soaring temperatures blanketing much of the Southwest are intensifying. The extreme conditions are being blamed for at least four deaths, and the triple-digit heat is making the fight against raging wildfires even more difficult. Los Angeles saw temps reach 103, while Phoenix got up to 115 and it’s a scorching 123 in Palm Springs on Monday.
