Longest-serving White House head gardener Irvin Williams dies at 92
Irvin Williams was the White House’s head gardener longer than anyone in history, serving from his appointment 1962 until retirement 2008. One of the lasting legacies he developed is the Rose Garden, which has served as a famous setting for presidents since John F. Kennedy. Williams died last week at age 92. Sunday TODAY’s Willie Geist remembers a life well-lived.
