Buzz Aldrin’s in-flight jacket sells for nearly $2.8 million at auction
Less than a week after the 53rd anniversary of the first moon landing, the in-flight coverall jacket worn by Buzz Aldrin sold for nearly $2.8 million at Sotheby’s Auction House on Tuesday. The jacket features NASA’s historic Apollo 11 emblem and was worn by the astronaut during his flight to and from the moon in 1969.
