Astronauts who made emergency landing survived ‘ballistic descent’
NASA officials revealed more details about the two astronauts involved in an emergency landing Thursday after a booster rocket carrying them to the International Space Station failed just after launching. American astronaut Nick Hague and veteran Russian cosmonaut Alexey Ovchinin fell back to earth in what’s called a “ballistic descent.” NBC’s Tom Costello reports for TODAY.
