“The Masked Singer” went down the yellow brick road celebrating “The Wizard of Oz” night and unveiled one more contestant.
After the March 13 episode, the Afghan Hound was revealed as Savannah Chrisley. The former "Chrisley Knows Best" star tells TODAY.com following her unmasking that despite having "no musical abilities whatsoever," she decided to do the show so her parents could watch the moment.
Chrisley’s parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, were convicted of financial fraud, tax evasion and conspiracy to defraud the United States. They are currently both serving 12 and seven years in prison, respectively.
“When the opportunity came my way, I at first hesitated. But then I was like, You know what, this is my ‘Yes’ time! Stop saying no to things because you’re uncomfortable and say yes because you’re uncomfortable,” she explains. “And also I knew that my parents would be able to watch this. So they would get to still be a part of our journey and life. So that’s the main driving force behind me saying yes.”
Savannah Chrisley says that her mom, Julie Chrisley, watched the show live.
“She called me after and she was dying, laughing,” she says. “And that’s what made it all worth it... this is why I did. She was laughing and I was like, ‘I did great didn’t I?’ She was like, ‘Oh yeeeah, maybe don’t ever sing again.’”
Savannah Chrisley adds that her siblings also jokingly told her singing wasn’t for her.
“My siblings were like, ‘Don’t ever do that again. I’m pretty sure they said it was ‘cringey,’ because that’s what kids say these days,” she says with a laugh. “They were like, ‘Don’t do that again. That was hilarious... It made me so uncomfortable to watch. It was so bad.’”
Despite her family's comments and being eliminated, she says she's glad she was part of the show.
“I was just really proud of myself for going out there and doing it because like I said, it’s totally outside of my comfort zone. I was super uncomfortable doing it,” she explains. “And I just knew I didn’t have the talent to like get up there and sing.”
She adds that she tends to “take life a little too serious sometimes.” “I’m always in fight mode, especially the past year and a half of my life or just fighting for what’s right and fighting for my parents.”
She says the opportunity gave her a chance to “not fight,” laugh at herself and have fun.
During the second episode, four new celebrities took the stage in an attempt to impress panelists Robin Thicke, Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg and newcomer this season Rita Ora to make it to the next round. The episode began with a performance of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" by Season Four winner LeAnn Rimes.
Viewers were then introduced to Group B contestants Gumball, Cleocatra, Afghan Hound and duo Beets. Ultimately, one contestant had to be unmasked.

What did each contestant perform?
Gumball kicked off the first masked performances of the night, singing “If I Only Had A Heart” by Jack Haley before transitioning to “Heartbeat Song” by Kelly Clarkson.
Cleocatra stumped the contestants by singing “Stormy Weather” by Etta James, while the Afghan Hound had the audience laughing along with her while she sang “The Lion Sleeps Tonight” by The Tokens.
Beets performed a duet of "Home" by Michael Bublé, impressing the judges with their harmonies.
Who were in the bottom two?
After the judge and audience votes, the celebrities with the least votes were Afghan Hound and Gumball.
The two contestants then went head-to-head in the Smackdown. Each had one more chance to impress the panelists by singing "Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead" by Harold Arlen and Yip Harburg.
Who was unmasked?
Ultimately, Afghan Hound was the contestant to be unmasked. But first, the panelist guessed who was under the mask.
Thicke guessed it was Bethenny Frankel, McCarthy-Wahlberg believed it was Brooke Hogan, while Jeong thought it was Olivia Jade Giannulli and Ora chose Sistine Stallone.
All four panelists were incorrect because it was: Savannah Chrisley.
McCarthy-Wahlberg exclaimed, “I was going to guess you!” after the reveal.
Host Nick Cannon asked Chrisley why she'd decided to take part in the show.
"A big reason I did this was because I know my parents can watch it and that was a big thing for me," she explained.
"Honestly, my life over the past year has changed drastically," she said. "Lost both of my parents to the federal system and now I have custody of my 15-year-old brother and 10-year-old sister, so if I can teach them anything, it's take every opportunity that comes your way and don't back down."
She added that she knows "singing is not for me."
"I don't know what a note is nor do I know what rhythm is, but it was a good experience," she quipped.
Next week, Group C will take the stage during “Girl Group” night.
