Diddy has won a legal rematch in Michigan.
An appeals court has unanimously ruled in Diddy’s favor in connection with a lawsuit that accused his entourage of assault.
TV talk-show host Roger Mills had sued the rapper, his label, a bodyguard and a Detroit radio station, alleging he was attacked after a 1999 interview with Diddy. Mills said Diddy abruptly ended the interview when asked to comment about allegations that he’d contributed to the shooting death of fellow rapper Notorious B.I.G.

Mills said members of Diddy’s entourage roughed him up and stole the tape of the interview.
A jury ruled in Diddy’s favor, finding no assault and battery occurred. Mills appealed.
Today, the appellate court says a lower court judge was wrong not to let a jury hear evidence of a recorded telephone conversation between Diddy’s bodyguard and Mills. But it says the mistake was harmless.
