BREAKING: TPD evacuating businesses on Wetmore due to possible military mortar found

TUCSON-  Tucson Police have evacuated businesses and closed Wetmore Road from Oracle to Fairview, as they investigate the discovery of a possible military mortar.

TUCSON-  Tucson Police have evacuated businesses and closed Wetmore Road from Oracle to Fairview, as they investigate the discovery of a possible military mortar.

According to TPD Sergeant Chris Widmer, a construction crew working at Precision Toyota of Tucson came across what they believe to be the military mortar.

Widmer tells News 4 Tucson Wetmore will be closed for several hours.
