David Letterman to retire from CBS in about a year: source

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - David Letterman, longtime host of television's "The Late Show" on CBS, will retire from the network in about a year and discussed his plans to leave during the taping of his show on Thursday, a source with knowledge of the program said.
