'Tis the season to spread holiday cheer — and if you happen to give people a fun fright along the way, all the better.

That's the philosophy Will Ferrell and Billy Eichner employed as they hit the pavement in New York for a Christmas installment of Eichner's "Billy on the Street."

In the clip, Ferrell and Eichner, decked out in coordinating holiday onsies, accost passersby with on-the-spot holiday quizzes. The results are hilarious.

The duo asks one woman to tell them the name of the star from "Scrooged" in exchange for a one-dollar bill. She manages to splutter the correct answer (Bill Murray, of course), and they shout "Yes!" until she freezes on the spot.

But the real Christmas magic happens at the end of the clip, when the guys demand that another woman tell them the best flick: "Scrooged" or Ferrell's own "Elf."

Let's just say they aren't all in agreement.
