The sunglasses sported by spectators at Wimbledon not only shaded eyes from the sun; they also protected folks from the blinding star power generated by all the celebrities catching matches this week at the world's most prestigious tennis tournament.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were among the latest A-listers taking in a game at center court. Kate, an avid tennis fan and frequent Wimbledon spectator, enjoyed a day out without the kids as she and husband Prince William caught a quarterfinal round Wednesday. Behind them in the Royal Box was TV host and adventurer Bear Grylls and his wife.
Actor Bradley Cooper also attended Wimbledon, watching Wednesday's match from the player box of his buddy Roger Federer.
Earlier in the week, Duchess Kate’s younger sister, Pippa Middleton, watched Federer advance in a previous round.
The tennis tournament brought in a random mix of the business, Hollywood, and sports elite. Soccer legend David Beckham brought his look-alike son Romeo. The pair wore matching open-collared white shirts beneath blue blazers.
Actor Kit Harington, recently (maybe) killed off on "Game of Thrones," appeared alive and well in the Wimbledon stands.
English mogul Richard Branson also took a break from his schedule earlier in the week to enjoy a game.
In addition to Cooper, other American celebrities who flew across the pond to take in some superior tennis included Oscar-winning musician John Legend and his wife, Chrissy Teigen, watching Serena Williams defeat her sister Venus Williams.
Meanwhile, fellow musician Drake also got into the summertime spirit of the games.
