Classy comfort food: Tia Mowry's recipes for Cornish hens, collards and brownies

Actress Tia Mowry shares her recipes for roast Cornish game hens, spicy collard greens and healthy brownies.

Want a comfort food dinner that's fancy enough to serve to company? Try this menu from the host of the Cooking Channel's Tia Mowry at Home: roast Cornish game hens with a side of collard greens, followed by better-for-you brownies for dessert.

Game hens are great because each person gets a whole bird — no need to divvy up breasts and thighs. And they're as easy to cook as a chicken. Mowry's collard greens are simmered with bacon on ham hocks for a great smoky flavor. And her brownies are made with almond butter and whole wheat flour, plus prune puree in place of some of the sugar, so they're healthier than the average brownie — and they seem more special.
