Most safety restraints for pets in cars fail crash tests
Experts recommend that when you take your dog or cat for a ride in the car, they be restrained for your safety as well as yours. But in crash tests performed by a nonprofit group, 25 of 29 restraints sold in pet stores failed in one way or another, which can be dangerous for the driver and potentially deadly for a pet.
