Mother who lost child in Sandy Hook shooting pays tribute to son who loved to run
It’s been four years since the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut where 20 children and six adults were killed. Among the victims was 7-year-old Chase Kowalski. Chase loved to run and even completed a triathlon. Now his mother, Rebecca Kowalski, is paying tribute to her son by teaching others to heal themselves with physical activity and exercise. She says the program “Race for Chase” has helped her turn tragedy into triumph. TODAY’s Natalie Morales reports. (Run time: 3:36)
