Manchester bombing fits pattern of recent terror attacks, expert says
NBC security analyst Michael Leiter, former director of the U.S. National Counterterrorism Center, tells TODAY that the Manchester bombing attack was probably perpetrated by “someone with at least an understanding of explosives,” but adds that that can be obtained on the internet nowadays. He says the attack fits the pattern of recent attacks at airports in Turkey and Brussels: Attackers go just outside the security perimeter “where the target is softest.”
