Report: NSA surveillance is broader than disclosed
Government surveillance extends to roughly 75 percent of all U.S. Internet communications, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal. The NSA is primarily interested in messages that begin or end outside of the country, though the capacity is great enough that domestic communications can also be picked up.
