Would-be assassin John Hinckley Jr.’s release divides Ronald Reagan’s family


John Hinckley Jr., now 61, has been ordered released from a psychiatric facility 35 years after his attempted assassination of President Ronald Reagan. Reagan’s oldest son, Michael, says his father was able to forgive Hinckley, so “maybe we should do the same.” But Reagan’s daughter Patti has a starkly different reaction.
