Why Ellen DeGeneres was almost denied access to Medal of Freedom ceremony

#NotJoking was the hashtag comedian Ellen DeGeneres used when she tweeted a photo of her herself after being denied access to the White House for the Presidential Medal of Freedom ceremony Tuesday because she didn’t have her ID. Fortunately, she was admitted about an hour later, in time to get her medal and post a “mannequin challenge” video featuring fellow recipients Robert De Niro, Bill Gates, Bruce Springsteen, Tom Hanks and Diana Ross, among others.
