White House authorizes FBI to expand Kavanaugh investigation

The White House has authorized the FBI to expand the scope of its investigation into the sexual misconduct allegations against Judge Brett Kavanaugh, giving the bureau the green light to interview anyone deemed necessary as long as the probe wraps up Friday. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell vows the Senate will vote on Kavanaugh’s nomination this week. NBC’s Peter Alexander reports for TODAY.
