United buys new planes as airlines gird for post-pandemic surge in travel


United Airlines says it is buying hundreds of new planes while also upgrading and retrofitting every narrow-body plane in its fleet. The move comes as airlines come out the worst slump in air travel since 9/11. NBC’s Tom Costello reports for TODAY from Newark Airport in New Jersey.
