    UNC protesters topple Confederate ‘Silent Sam’ statue

    A 105-year-old “Silent Sam” Confederate statue at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, which has been a source of controversy for decades, was pulled down Monday night by protesters. Earlier, hundreds of students gathered at the monument, chanting for its removal. TODAY’s Craig Melvin reports.
