UK coronavirus variant is in at least 20 states, doctor says

NBC chief senior medical correspondent Dr. John Torres tells TODAY that the highly contagious U.K. variant of COVID-19 “is already here in 20 states that we know of” and says that “even though it’s not more deadly, it can spread faster.” He says that people working in closed environments may need N95 masks or double masks, but “any mask is better than no mask.”Jan. 22, 2021
