US diplomats urge airstrikes on Syria, direct action by President Obama


More than 50 U.S. diplomats are calling for more action from President Obama, asking him to launch airstrikes against the Syrian government. NBC’s Richard Engel reports for TODAY that dissenters in the State Department feel that the current U.S. policy in Syria does not prevent Assad and Russia from killing civilians and that unless more military pressure is put on them, the bloodshed will continue.
