Trump says he could ‘run’ Mueller probe if he wanted to
President Trump on Monday unleashed a new message to Special Counsel Robert Mueller, asserting in a Reuters interview that, as president, he is “totally allowed” to be involved in the Russia probe and suggested he could take charge if he wanted to. When asked if he will sit for an interview with Mueller, Trump indicated he’s leaning against it, saying he’s concerned about a “perjury trap.” NBC’s Kristen Welker reports for TODAY.
