Trump nominates Brett Kavanaugh to Supreme Court
President Trump on Monday evening announced Brett Kavanaugh as his pick to replace retiring Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy. Kavanugh, a solid conservative, spent the last 12 years as a federal appeals court judge in Washington, D.C. The president praised him as a brilliant jurist with “impeccable credentials,” while several Democrats prepare to challenge the pick. NBC’s Peter Alexander reports for TODAY.
