Speaking live on TODAY, Paul Manafort, chairman of the Donald Trump campaign, reacted to Sen. Ted Cruz’ non-endorsement of Donald Trump in his RNC speech Wednesday night, saying “I think he made a mistake” and that he showed “very bad judgment.” But, he adds, “Despite what Ted Cruz did, the party came together.” Regarding the controversy over the similarities of Melania Trump’s RNC speech to a 2008 speech by Michelle Obama, he says he does not believe Mrs. Trump “personally put those words in that speech.” (Run time: 4:19)July 21, 2016
