Tom Brokaw: Whoever wins the election needs to dissolve America’s fear

NBC special correspondent Tom Brokaw, who has seen many Election Days in his 50 years at NBC, calls for reformation of the voting process, saying, "Every state has its own rules. That's no way to run a democracy." He also tells TODAY that fear has been a defining theme of the 2016 campaign, so whoever wins has to dissolve that fear by bringing the country together. Start with building infrastructure because it’s a nonpartisan issue, he suggests, and get millennials into public service.
