    Florida and other states ‘opened up too early,’ doctor says After Florida added more than 15,000 new coronavirus cases on Sunday, Dr. Ashish Jha, director of the Harvard Global Health Institute, tells TODAY that “Florida and other states opened up too early and too aggressively” and “still don’t have statewide mandates for masks.” Responding to Education Secretary Betsy DeVos downplaying the health risks of reopening schools full-time, he says, “I think that’s a little more cavalier than I’m willing to be.” In hot spots, he says, “I think it’s going to very hard to open schools and keep them open.”
