This week, TODAY’s Education Plaza honors teachers who have risen to the challenge of the pandemic in creative ways. In South Carolina, 8th-grade social studies teacher Lekena Ackerman has dressed up as everything from a pharaoh to a Civil War general to bring her subject to life. “I’m crazy,” she jokes as she joins TODAY with some of her students.
